It's a different experience, as they also offer alcohol on one level. They do have soaking areas that are co-ed in addition to the ones in the locker areas. If you think you might prefer to spend more time together, it may be worth considering a trip to Spa Castle in Queens. Before you go your separate ways into the locker rooms you'll probably want to make a plan for how long you'll soak, and when/where to meet up back outside. I assume you are a hetero couple? If so, just be aware that the soaking pools and steam rooms are all single sex (they are totally nude) and are in the locker room areas. The food is decent basic Korean, it won't hold up to a fine dining restaurant, but it's not bad.
A lot of the dry massage is done through a thin sheet and the technique is just.different. If you are used to getting massages, just don't expect it to be similar to Swedish or what you'd get from a place like Massage Envy. I usually go for a body scrub with wet massage. The weekends get crowded but if you're going on a Tuesday it shouldn't be too bad. Opposite of u/OolahClaire, I've been to King Spa many times but never gone to Island Spa in Edison because it's farther from us.
